This venerable 1000-year-old temple stands as a testament to the enduring resilience of its design, protected by encircling rocks that have withstood the test of time, including the tumultuous periods marked by invasions, including those by the Moghuls. With an unwavering commitment to its preservation and enhancement, our charity has unveiled the temple from these protective rocks, created an accessible road, and are currently constructing bathroom facilities, underscoring the harmonious fusion of heritage and modernity.
This transformative endeavor has also extended to the creation of a dedicated thoroughfare for the sacred Ratha Yatra, a chariot-pulling procession that holds profound spiritual significance. On the auspicious occasion of January 14th, this annual tradition draws a remarkable congregation of 15,000 devotees, united in the collective act of pulling the sacred chariot.
The symbiotic coalescence of preservation and progress epitomized by the temple's road and Ratha Yatra thoroughfare accentuates our charity's commitment to honoring tradition while facilitating modern engagement. It is a privilege to witness the evolution of this historical space into a dynamic nexus of reverence and communal celebration.
